Apartment 512--Home Sweet Home

Here are some pictures of our cozy apartment--the kitchen and living room area. The total size is like the size of our upstairs family room. It works great for the three of us. In some ways it is great to live so simply.

Sometimes I think of all the stuff I left behind and wonder why I need all of it. (Although I am making a small list of a few things for Dallan, Kaitlyn, and Colby to bring in Dec.)

Look at the cute pictures on the bulletin board. Thanks Eliza for the decorations.

Beach fun at Ashod Israel

On Sunday we went to the beach. (Now don't think that we broke the Sabbath--the Jewish sabbath is on Saturday so that is when we go to church) We drove about an hour to Ashod. This is the place being shelled by the Palistinians ifrom the Gaza Strip in the recent war this past December. The soldier stayed on this beach. Anyway--all is calm there now, and we had a great time playing in in the Mediterranian Sea. The water was so nice and warm, sand was soft, and they had huge canopies set up on the beach to escape from the sun. You can see Tanner is having a ball in the waves, trying out his body surfing.

Surprise packages

"What is all this stuff?" That is what I ask myself as I wander up and down the isles of the supermarkets in Israel. I pick up the can and turn it around and around hoping to see maybe one english word or a picture to give me a clue. Just one of the many things to adjust to in a new country.

Kaitlyn's Senior Prom

"Kaitlyn, I think you're cute", said Trevor. "Thanks for the flower!"

"Oh Trevor! I love the corsage! It matches my dress perfectly!"

"We're ready to go!" (Isn't Kaitlyn's dress beautiful!? Mom made it in a week!)

The boys had fun celebrating Kaitlyn's last high school dance with Trevor. They clapped and made an arch for their grand exit.

Welcome Home Jesse

I don't have any of the official pictures of Jesse at the airport, but I did take this one when he came to visit us yesterday. Isn't he handsome? Everyone agrees that he's grown; physically and of course spiritually.

The evening of his return was awesome! After returning home from the airport, Jesse shared his testimony of the restored gospel. It was emotional and strengthening to see my little brother so engrossed and in love with the gospel. I know he will miss the people of New Zealand and I'm sure they will miss him.

We are glad to have you home Jesse. We love you!
